HELLO :)

Hi, I’m Zaw Htike Aung — a Manchester-based front-end developer and a chef at Wagamama (May 2025–present). By day I run a fast, high-standards kitchen; outside of shifts I take on freelance web projects, building clean, accessible, and fast user experiences.
I originally set out to study medicine. A major health event in 2016 reset my priorities and led me to software—where I’ve found the same sense of purpose in solving problems and helping people. Today I design and build with Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, and shadcn/ui, adding thoughtful motion and a strong focus on clarity and performance. I’m actively growing my freelance practice while working toward a permanent web developer role.
When I’m not shipping features or service tickets, you’ll usually find me sketching, watching a good horror film, reading history, or planning the next place to explore.
